Josh Davies

BIM Co-ordinator

I joined Stride Treglown at the age of 16 after completing my GCSE’s. With my background as an Architectural Technologist and having acquired an ONC, HNC and BSc Honours degree at college and university, it didn’t take me long to realise that BIM and digital design is the future of the AEC industry… I really didn’t want to miss the boat!

I have worked in an Architectural Practice for over 8 years by the age of just 24, where I now hold the role of BIM Coordinator at Stride Treglown. My responsibilities include defining the company’s digital design strategy, including BIM standards, workflows and protocols. Additionally I also carry out the role of BIM Coordinator on high profile BIM Level 2 projects, which includes multidisciplinary clash detection, information management and COBie.

I am continually trying to reach out to new and interesting people across the AEC industry to further develop my skills and understanding of BIM and digital design, including how we achieve the government’s targets for a more technologically advanced industry. I truly believe greater collaboration between all parties is the key to a successful future.

I am a keen footballer and still play for my local 11 aside team alongside many of my old schoolmates. I also enjoy a good game of golf where I hold an official handicap of 12.5 at Saltford Golf club.
