Stride Treglown has been appointed as Town Planning consultants for the upcoming Phase II alteration and refurbishment works. We are pleased to be working with long standing architects Levitt Bernstein, who have been involved in the project from Phase I.
Phase I was completed in 2009 and provided a modern foyer to the historical hall, which was originally built in 1867.
About Colston Hall Refurbishment Phase II
Phase II seeks to provide an enriched user experience through innovative design and careful preservation of existing features, to sympathetically refurbish an outstanding, Grade II Listed, musical venue in the heart of Bristol.
Key to our role as planning consultant is to ensure that proposed works can be quantified as a sustainable development. We will be focusing on the benefits environmentally, socially and economically.
The Public Consultation on the emerging proposals is now open and running until the 24th of February. It offers the public a first glimpse at the Grade II Listed Buildings redevelopment proposals.
Phase II aims to deliver a rich user experience and maximise its benefit to the public. We have already been in discussions with Bristol City Council’s Planning Team and local community groups. This has led to positive feedback and intuitive suggestions to add to the proposals. As the appointed planning consultants, we look forward to finalising the proposals in the not too distant future and submitting a development that will promote the diversity and culture synonymous with Bristol City.
