Competition winning offices in central Bristol

After entering a competition to design the first 9,000sqm phase of office buildings at Bristol Harbourside, Stride Treglown’s unique idea emerged victorious. Tasked with delivering a space to house a modern workforce, the site presented a range of challenges, not least its size and proximity to nearby Bristol Cathedral. It also held a key position in the development of the Harbourside by Crest Nicholson; so, no pressure.

The contemporary design of No. 1 College Square has 18m wide floorplates wrapped around a five-storey atrium. Natural light occupies the interior of the building and provides a visual focal point for people working in the offices.

The predominately glazed elevation provides an inspirational place to work through its spectacular views over the city and Cathedral. The building was pre-let to financial services company, Hargreaves Lansdown, followed in similar style by No. 2 College Square, adding a further 5,000sqm to the project.
