An engineering and digital creative technology facility for 33 new degree courses

Stride Treglown’s £22.8m University of Chichester scheme, provides new engineering and digital creative technology facilities.

The scheme, which intends to attract between 1,200 to 1,500 students to Bognor, includes a TV & Film studio, a green screen studio with associated editing facilities and a ‘create, design, implement and operate’ centre. There is also a machine shop, welding area, fabricating laboratory with a 3D printer and engineering workshops.

The centre enables 33 new degree courses to be offered by the university, including maths, electronic engineering, digital design and computer animation.

The building has a range of social learning spaces located across every floor of the facility. Large television screens showcase student work.

The opportunity to engage with local businesses has been embraced with co-working facilities integrated within the design allowing students and employers to collaborate on projects together.
