Two Projects Shortlisted for the BCO Awards

740 Aztec West, Bristol and EY Birmingham have been shortlisted by the British Council for Offices for the 2016 BCO Awards.

740 Aztec West is entered into the Refurbishment category in the South West of England, Thames Valley and South Wales region. The building has undergone a total rejuvenation and refurbishment, providing owners Legal & General with a high quality office, most of which was let during construction to Nokia.

The project significantly improved the sustainability of the building, being the first to be certified under BREEAM “Refurbishment and Fit-Out” scheme and gaining an EPC ‘A’ rating.

EY Birmingham is the fit out of the 58,000 sq.ft Birmingham office of EY (formerly Ernst & Young), entered in the Midlands & East Anglia Region.

The whole office was transformed over 9 phases, keeping everyone working throughout, and now supports 900 staff in a range of workstations, meeting rooms and collaboration areas, with fantastic breakout and kitchen areas.

We will know the result of the Birmingham project at the BCO Awards ceremony on 28th April, and the Bristol project on 5th May.
