Alexander has a passion for the sensitive and enlightened adaption and conversion of existing historic buildings.

Having worked with us for over 14 years, he has delivered a number of large, complex projects. Most recently, he led the refurbishment of University of Bristol’s Fry Building which is now home to their School of Mathematics. He is currently acting as NEC Supervisor on the Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Birmingham.

If you weren’t in this career, what would you be?

An artist, probably penniless.

What’s your favourite project you’ve worked on to date?

The refurbishment of the Fry Building for the University of Bristol. The quality with which older buildings were built is to be cherished and treasured not simply destroyed.

Interesting fact that nobody knows about you?

I worked for six years in Berlin following the fall of the Berlin Wall and spent four years as site architect for the conversion of the Reichstag building.
