Sheridan is an Associate Technologist working within the Healthcare sector.
She is particularly interested in how spaces affect the wellbeing of inhabitants, especially how different colours and themes can affect people with dementia.
If you weren’t in this career, what would you be?
Either a furniture design or an illustrator.
What is the current big trend in your sector?
COVID, as you can imagine, has had a massive effect on the Healthcare sector, both in terms of design and speed of programme.
Interesting fact that nobody knows about you?
I have a degree in Criminology. I had planned to become a police officer but, after a few years of studying, I realised it wasn’t for me, which is lucky for Stride Treglown!
Best networking event you’ve been to?
The South West Women in Construction event with the Royal Marines. We were taken out into the Plymouth Sound on the Marine RIBs where they let the group have a go at steering. After all that fun, they took us back to the officers’ mess and served us afternoon tea.
Best building in your city?
My house…or at least it will be by the time I’ve finished renovating it. Jokes aside, Plymouth is rich in pretty military buildings including Royal William Yard (victualling yard) and the old naval hospital, the Millfields, where our office is based.
Best book you’ve read?
There’s too many to choose from. I’ve just finished reading the Midnight Library and The Thursday Murder Club which are both great reads.
