ADEC School Model
Concept school designs that respond, reflect and adapt to the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Education Council’s curriculum
Stride Treglown have worked closely with Taaleem Edison Learning to deliver concept school designs that respond, reflect and adapt to the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Education Council’s (ADEC) curriculum. This proposed new school environment will welcome the local community and provide a stimulating place for students to learn and staff to teach. Aligned to ADEC’s programme to transform education in the Emirates the concept designs provide a firm basis for further consultation with the authorities, teachers, staff, parents and student to ensure that maximum benefit is secured and attainment levels further improved.
The design for these schools provide robust, scalable models that can be applied to different schools and locations within Abu Dhabi and which are sufficiently flexible to cope with expansion.
The models can evolve and adapt to urban and peripheral sites and provide an opportunity to respond to vistas and long views to create community buildings of lasting interest and civic value.
These schools provide the opportunity to deliver inspirational, high quality learning in world class school environments which benefit all users and provide buildings with an appropriate and lasting civic presence. It will enable these learning centres to act as catalysts for change providing a signpost to a bigger and better life and enhancing outcomes for young people and their communities.
