Contemporary, fun and social setting for students

The proposals contain an enclosed central courtyard with plenty of seating areas including study benches and tables, lounge type seating spaces and repositional benches. Raised planters with tree and ornamental shrub planting provide shelter, privacy and seasonal interest. Artifical grass lawns allow all-year useage.

A lower courtyard space is a secure area adjacent to the street and provides further leisure activities for the students including a table tennis table with surrounding terrace seating, twin gas BBQ and picnic table with benches.

 

The streetscape environs will be improved as part of the proposals, including new paving, access steps/ramps and building facade treatment.

A strong signage and lighting strategy form part of the proposals, to help connect the buildings to the landscape. All of the above design initiatives have created spaces for students to relax and have fun in; somewhere to study, meet friends and host social gatherings.
