Stride Treglown is delighted to announce that Rachel Bell has been shortlisted for Architect of the Year in the Women in Construction Awards 2014. Naomi Chesterman from VWV and former chair of Women in Property South West nominated Rachel for the award.
The awards recognise the brightest and best females in house building and the wider construction industries. The ceremony to announce the winners of each category will be held on 26th March.
Rachel has been an active member of Women in Property for over 6 years and she joined the South West committee in 2011. She has been instrumental in coordinating the schools / careers programme roadshow with Women in Property, as well as assisting with the launch of the South West schools design competition, which has gone from strength to strength and is an annual event supported by local businesses.
David Hunter, Chairman of Stride Treglown says
”We are very proud of Rachel’s achievements and her passion for architecture. She joined us in 2001 on a work placement and qualified as an architect in 2004. Last year, Rachel was appointed as head of our transport sector. She is an inspiring role model involving herself in more than her day to day role and acts as a mentor to many up-and-coming architects. It’s great to see Rachel’s hard work being recognised.”
