Stride Treglown is continuing its work for Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board (ABMU HB) as it begins on site at Ty Einon, a new project in Gorseinon.
The development of a new fit for purpose building to replace existing outdated accommodation houses a multi-use clinic and Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT). The proposals support greater clinical and management efficiencies and will enable the Board to maximise its service, as well as improving governance and staff support.
Stride Treglown’s inclusive design has been developed with input from local groups to allow access to all members of the public and staff. From the main entrances, visitors will arrive directly into the waiting areas where they can be collected by staff and taken for their relevant consultation and/or treatment. Publicly accessed areas are located on the ground floor and disabled spaces are positioned directly next to the entrance to aid people convenience for those who need them and to help with way finding.
Due for completion March 2012, Ty Einon is one of several projects the architects are working on for ABMU, including major refurbishment works at both Singleton and Morriston Hospitals in Swansea.
