Biggest career influence?

My Year 9 Art teacher. She got tired of trying to force me to do ceramics and instead spotted my keen eye for Architecture and helped nurture it. Thanks Mrs Watters!

If you weren’t in this career, what would you be?

Chef or owner of a Filipino Restaurant. I’ve worked in restaurants before and the passion for cooking runs in my family. I always say my Father is a Chef but my Mother is the better cook, so with that influence how could I not?

What advice would you give your 20 year old self?

Stop worrying about where you are and focus on where you want to be. I started University at 20, so I was a couple of years later than normal. I had a plan for my career, but sometimes plans change. Despite the bumps in the road, I’m where I always wanted to be and I’m a better person for it.

Interesting fact that nobody knows about you?

The scar on my elbow is from a motorbike accident that happened when my friends and I attempted to replicate the Top Gear Vietnam Special.

Pet hate?

Not re-racking your weights at the gym. Honestly, you’ll probably get a better work out if you were a little more considerate.
