Our healthcare team delivers exemplary design and support to Trusts and private healthcare providers in the UK and internationally. Our healthcare experience includes the design of new clinical accommodation and refurbishment of existing facilities. Our numerous framework agreements are a testament to our drive for continuous improvement. We work closely with clients to ensure that phasing and decant programmes are carefully coordinated, understanding the need to deliver exemplary healthcare buildings within live clinical environments.
The award was given for the special dedication put forward by all parties for the delivery of the Children’s Development Centre at Singleton Hospital, Swansea, a facility that provides local outpatients services for children with a variety of disabilities and houses a range of therapeutic spaces, including rebound therapy and sensory rooms. The artwork used in the facility was created as part of a therapeutic play process involving the children who use the centre and their families. The final installed artwork engages with visiting children and parents and can be seen to add to the overall therapeutic experience of the centre.
Our core philosophy for all healthcare schemes is to design healing spaces, which are pleasurable and safe environments for patients to visit and staff to work in. We aim to produce well designed, therapeutic facilities that improve health outcomes. Our experience includes Acute care, Mental healthcare, Specialist healthcare, Community and Social Care, Primary care and Private healthcare.
BIM. All design proposals will be modelled in 3D from the start of the process.
Very quickly these will provide accurate, measurable models that can be developed into complete detailed and scheduled designs. Our BIM model allows us to employ user-friendly design visualisation methods to help explain the hospital environment across all aspects, including: interior design and finishes; equipment loading and placement; wayfinding; and environmental/controls systems. This benefits the client and user-groups in enabling them to truly understand in detail the building they are going to receive and occupy, prior to the commencement of construction.
Clinical Planning. Getting to know the end users well is crucial for delivering a successful project that meets expectations.
Properly engaging with stakeholders in a meaningful way, in an environment which is relaxed and open is key to teasing out the issues which are important. We will make our interactions with the end-users friendly, non-technical and supportive. We will use a variety of collaborative communication methods to encourage enthusiastic and relevant responses to inform the emerging design. These techniques will help to challenge the and will allow a meaningful brief to emerge.
Our successful designs feature innovative solutions to common healthcare design problems. We acknowledge the desire to raise standards and achieve excellence in the design of new care buildings; whether they are hospital environments, mental health establishments or buildings delivering other services to the public.
