If you weren’t in this career, what would you be?

I studied fine art and worked for a short time as an artist prior to pursuing architecture as a profession. Maybe I could have carried on doing that?

What’s your favourite project you’ve worked on to date?

I once proposed to the Regional Development Agency: One North East, as an alternative to demolition, transforming the Tyne Bridge Tower in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne into a vertical mushroom farm.

What advice would you give your 20 year old self?

Sketch daily and don’t get rid of your paints and canvas!

Interesting fact that nobody knows about you?

I’m a qualified Aikido coach.
