A fast-track defence contract completed in ten months

Defence manufacturer General Dynamics was seeking additional space for its research and development building in Oakdale and Newbridge, S Wales. The project would need to be fast-tracked in order to meet our client’s very tight timescale.

The project comprises a new mezzanine installed over approximately 70% of the existing high-bay floorspace plus a 4,500sqm two storey extension. New M&E systems, plant space and car parking are also included. We led the team that delivered the project and achieved planning permission within ten weeks and completion of the mezzanine in three months. The entire project was completed, fully fitted out, within ten months from inception.
