A BREEAM Excellent science and engineering research support facility

Our sustainability team conducted a BREEAM assessment of phases 2 and 3 of the new Science and Engineering Research Support Facility at Penryn Campus.

This extension will allow further growth in Exeter Business School, the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences and the College of Life and Environmental Sciences.

The environment and sustainability underpin much of the ethos of the Penryn Campus which is reflected in the design targets of this extension.

Phase 1 of this development successfully achieved an Excellent rating under the 2011 criteria and phases 2 and 3 are on target to follow suit with Excellent sought under the more onerous 2014 criteria.

The design stage assessment is soon to be finalised with the post construction stage of assessment set for the latter half of 2018.
