The Stride Treglown residential design team works on a diverse range of projects from high-rise schemes of over 600 apartments to small city-centre refurbishments.
We are commissioned by the UK’s major house builders and residential developers to provide innovative solutions that maximise the potential of a site. Our strength is in delivering marketable, sustainable and accessible designs that respond to market forces and project budgets.
We take a personal approach to every scheme by working closely with our clients to gauge their needs, target audience and budget whilst providing a bespoke service from feasibility, through design, and to occupation.

Residential: Public
Stride Treglown works with a range of public sector residential clients, from stand-alone schemes for RSLs to large-scale urban regeneration projects and key worker housing provision. We have an in-depth understanding of the need to provide affordable and sustainable residential accommodation. Working with clients such as The Salvation Army and YMCA we design cost effective accommodation that lasts.
Our public sector residential expertise also translates into the work we do for universities and developers designing student accommodation. We also have a proven track record in providing cost effective for the Ministry of Defence.
This is a sector where great design and sustainability must be combined with robustness and simplicity. We bring in our expertise and experience in the design of student accommodation, where we are one of the UK’s leading architects into this highly specialist sector.
Residential: Masterplanning
Our residential team prepares masterplans for housing projects that create genuinely great places for people.
We pay particular attention to traffic and pedestrian flows, managing the needs of car drivers and of children at play. Our residential masterplans provide practical, workable solutions with the added flair that Stride Treglown gives to all of its projects.
Design for Living Projects
We work alongside our other in-house teams to offer a range of services which support our services. These include BREEAM assessments, landscape architecture, planning and project management.
