Our Bristol home, Promenade House, wins BCO award

Promenade House is a special place to work. And we’re glad that the BCO judges feel the same.

Following its refurbishment in 2018, Promenade House has taken the prize for Workplace Project up to 1,500sqm at the South of England and South Wales BCO Awards, with the judges commenting:

The winner is a joyous building that brings out the desire to explore and discover the treasures that lay hidden behind its massive black front door.

Sensitive refurbishment has given the listed Promenade House, Bristol, a wonderful new lease of life. The bold interior, with contemporary lighting, is offset against the authentic charm of creaky stairs, unrepaired historic moldings and hidden spaces.

Lead Interior Designer, Kasia Jemiol had the unenviable task of designing a workplace for a building full of architects and colleagues.

Her design concept was ‘heritage meets simplicity’ and that has certainly been achieved. And not only that, her designs have brought about a new, agile approach to working; no more desk ownership, more breakout spaces, more opportunity to work on the go.

Having won the regional award, Promenade House will now go through the BCO National Awards held in London on 1st October 2019.
