A new direction for Birmingham and the Midlands

As our Birmingham studio enters a new phase of growth, we’re looking for forward-thinking leaders to help guide the way

Birmingham doesn’t stand still. It’s a city where post-war redevelopment and a deep industrial heritage set a precedent for reinvention and regeneration. And beyond the city, opportunities for thoughtful development extend across the wider Midlands.

At Stride Treglown, we’re not standing still either. For the past decade, our Birmingham studio has been part of the Midlands’ story. Today, we’re looking for new leadership to help us write its next chapter.

Building on a legacy of lasting impact

Beginning with the design of an entire village for later living and extra care at Bournville, our close-knit team has gone on to shape places that empower communities and act as catalysts for growth across the region.

Today, that spans everything from stylish homes for students stitched into the city’s iconic Calthorpe Road Estate to holistic, nature-connected and community-focused healthcare spaces like Leominster’s Marsh Court Health Centre.

We’ve earned a trusted platform in the Midlands — forging lasting relationships with local authorities, developers, and communities who care about the social fabric of this region as much as we do. Now we’re ready to build on it.

– Laura Cassulo, Director, Head of Development and Regeneration

Leadership for long-term value

To do that, we’re looking for inspiring leadership to guide our Birmingham studio into its new era.

It’s an opportunity to shape the region: growing a talented local studio, championing design-led ideas, and positioning Stride Treglown at the heart of major regeneration conversations before they even reach procurement.

Backed by the collective imagination of our national network of over 330 design specialists — and united by shared B Corp values, employee ownership, and a drive to design places that pay forwards — you’ll have the platform to deliver meaningful value across every corner of the Midlands.
