Pixel’s BCO Award marks a win for workplaces with wider impact

In spite of a gloomy mid-May, it’s been a bright few days at the head of Penzance high street as Pixel took home the BCO South of England and South Wales award.

Winning in the Corporate Workplace category, the award is a testament to the building’s versatility, and its tangible local impact.

Where change is made

For the community of creatives that call it home, Pixel is a blank canvas. A flexible, reconfigurable workplace where makers can connect and explore their craft—whether that demands a keyboard, a kiln, or a hang out over a cup of coffee.

For Cornwall Council, it’s a powerful tool for high street renewal: a striking, BREEAM Excellent anchor at the top of the high street poised to draw footfall back to local independent businesses.

And for the town itself, it’s a declaration. Clad in glass and wrapped within a centuries-old retained wall, its message is clear: A brighter future for Penzance is one that acknowledges its past and works for its community today.
