Events and Business Development Assistant

We’re looking for a proactive Events and Business Development Assistant to become an integral part of our Winning Work team.

What you will be doing:

Events

Support the Events Manager to deliver our events programme:

  • Conduct venue searches
  • Book tickets, transport and accommodation
  • Manage RSVPs
  • Support local office teams to organise local events
  • Collate invite lists using our CRM system
  • Collect feedback from all events and assist with follow ups
  • Keep the National Events Calendar updated and provide information for the monthly board report

Business Development

Support the Head of Partnerships to:

  • Organise business development meetings including coordinating external attendees, travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Prepare presentations prior to meetings and events
  • Assist in telling people internally of business development opportunities
  • Assist with research for meetings, sector development and workshops

Data

Support the Senior Data Coordinator to:

  • Audit project and contact data
  • Update company and contact data in our CRM system
  • Add business development notes after events and meetings

The balance between the role will vary depending on the immediate demands of specific events or BD activity.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a professional services firm
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Highly motivated and proactive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams at all levels, suppliers and clients
  • Capable of setting and working to your own deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Organised with a keen attention to detail

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of using a CRM system
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Mailchimp, LinkedIn and Instagram

The team around you

You will be joining a small, friendly, and supportive Team with a wide range of skills and experiences.  You will be supported and managed by the Events Manager and work across the Winning Work team on events, business development and data management tasks, supporting companywide activity.
