Headly Park School: A climate of curiosity
As we bounce from heatwave to heatwave, the climate challenges we face are in sharp focus. It’s through dialogue—the careful balance of listening widely and bringing local communities into vital conversations—that can we help to empower communities to act.
At a recent five-part engagement programme with Headley Park Primary School in Bristol, that meant helping to show Year 5 students that design is a practical tool they can use to shape the future and respond to the climate crisis.
Our very own Maddie Haworth (Landscape Architect) and Aisha Gimba (Architect) teamed up with Arup and charity Climate Change All Change (CCAC) to challenge the class to future-proof their sports clubhouse for 2050.
This film captures the students getting hands-on—and how architecture can put agency back in our hands.
