Over £2,500 raised to help end youth homelessness

On 2nd March, five volunteers from Stride Treglown joined 1280 property professionals across the country taking part in LandAid’s 2023 Sleepout.

LandAid South West Board Member, Sophie Jarzebowski along with Rachel Bell, Callum Swift, Mark Tagara, and Ryan Walsh braved one night outside to help prevent young people from facing the same prospect, every night.

We’re proud to say they raised an impressive £2,500 – more than double their original target – which contributed to the national campaign’s £536,000 total (and rising).

All money raised by teams in Bristol will go to 1625 Independent People, a charity that works with young people aged 16 to 25 who are homeless, leaving care, or at risk of homelessness in the South West.

As well as providing safe and stable accommodation, 1625ip provides practical and emotional support to ensure vulnerable young people can build healthy relationships, develop independent living skills and access jobs and training. Their services range from signposting or advice to intensive one-to one support, supported housing, and peer support.

A huge thank you for your support and generosity. And a big well done to our team of fundraisers. There’s still time to donate here.

For over 30 years, LandAid has brought businesses and individuals from across the property industry together to achieve lasting change and strive towards ending youth homelessness. Find out more here.
