Emily is an Assistant Interior Designer working across multiple sectors. She’s passionate about sustainability, with a keen interest in designs that stand the test of time without negatively impacting the environment.

Emily enjoys organising ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions with our suppliers to stay informed on the latest industry materials, furniture and items that make up the spaces we design.

Emily, If you weren’t in this career, what would you be?

I have always loved writing and reading stories, so perhaps I would have been an author.

Where do you see your career taking you?

I hope to continue creating inspiring spaces for people to enjoy for a long time to come. I’m really intrigued to see how the role of an interior designer develops alongside fast paced technological and environmental change. Hopefully AI hasn’t taken over my job by then!

Best networking event you’ve been to?

There was an event at the Opus Magnum factory in London that I’ll never forget. We built our own wooden stools out of French Walnut offcuts from their factory, which are produced when they make meeting tables. It was so special to see their craftmanship and come home with something unique that would have otherwise gone to waste.

Pet hate?

Cheese. (Controversial I know).

What’s the greatest invention ever?

Hand sanitiser – I go nowhere without it!
