110 at the Quay
Fluid design for waterfront apartments
As part of the redevelopment of the Portishead Quay Site, we’re back working with Crest Nicholson. Sited at the end of the public promenade and adjacent to the marina entrance, this 110-apartment scheme is to be a landmark building in terms of its location and its architectural treatment.
The design strikes the perfect balance between standing out and blending in. Responding strongly to the marina environment, sculptural funnel forms enclose the balconies. Circulation cores have varying heights of four to seven storeys, creating a tapering urban wall.
