A new all-through Welsh-medium school

Stride Treglown designed and delivered a new all-through Welsh-medium school for Pembrokeshire County Council in Withybush, Haverfordwest.

The BREEAM Excellent, 9,100m² facility for 3-16 year old pupils was completed in November 2018.

Stride Treglown was engaged by Pembrokeshire County Council to develop and deliver four new education facilities as part of their county-wide review of secondary education and 6th form provision. The Withybush Welsh-medium all-through school is the third of those projects.

We were engaged from project inception, developed design information to RIBA Stage 4 whilst client-side and were then novated to contractor Willmott Dixon to deliver the project on site.

Stride Treglown’s Cardiff team have been supportive and collaborative partners, working closely with Pembrokeshire Council to successfully deliver a number of our major schools projects over the last couple of years. They have given us great designs and are doing a sterling job driving through technical delivery during the construction phase.
