Stride Treglown has been shortlisted for Employer of the Year at this year’s Architect of the Year Awards organised by Building Design.
This award recognises architectural practices that promote a high-quality work environment for their employees.
For years, we’ve proudly placed long–term human and environmental interests at the heart of our decision–making – from transitioning to employee ownership to becoming carbon neutral and certifying as a B Corp.
In 2022, as part of our B Corp Certification, we formally changed our Articles of Association to set in stone our legal commitment to run the company for the benefit of society, the environment, and our employees.

Since becoming a B Corp, we have been focused on improving the day-to-day experience of our employees. How do people feel showing up to work each day? Are we supporting their mental and physical health? Are they receiving the right rewards and benefits? Are we helping them grow through learning and development? Then there are topics businesses might not usually consider. For example, helping employees with financial literacy and planning for the future.

Since publishing this article, we have also been announced as finalists for Building’s Employer of the Year and BCO’s NextGen Employer of the Year. Whatever the outcome, we stand proud with the other finalists and are mindful that success is about continuous progress, not just outcomes.
