It is with tremendous pleasure that we welcome Rachel Bell and Tristan Rhodes to the board of directors.
Rachel has been with Stride Treglown for 19 years, starting her work placement with us in 2000 before qualifying and progressing to Divisional Director. During this time she has worked on and led numerous projects across multiple sectors including retail, education, student living and transport. In 2007 Rachel was seconded to Heathrow to lead the refurbishment of Arrivals and Departures at Terminal 1.
More recently, Rachel has led business development, and supported numerous initiatives beyond her role such as Women in Property (SW Chair), UK Construction Week and the European Women in Construction and Engineering Awards. Rachel has won numerous awards and accolades for her contributions to the construction industry.
Tristan joined us in 2006 soon becoming our Head of Offices and Workplace, a role he still maintains. In 2017 he was promoted to head of our Bath office, which coincided with the office being crowned Best Architect at the Creative Bath Awards, and awards for 20 Manvers Street, 740 Waterside Drive and The Met Office data centre.
Tristan’s enduring passion, beyond running, cycling and rock music, is the restoration and creative reuse of existing buildings. A process he says is both fascinating and sustainable.
Announcing Tristan and Rachel’s appointments at our #PromHouseParty this week, Chairman David Hunter said:
“We’re very lucky to have Rachel and Tristan. They are immensely talented, outstanding leaders and deeply committed to their roles and the wider industry. We’re thrilled to welcome them to the board in the new year. And we look forward to their energy and passion contributing to our future.”
Rachel and Tristan will take their seats at the board table in January 2020.
