As our towns and cities begin to cautiously reopen, hotels and restaurants will be focussed on enticing guests back through their doors with reassurances of adequate social distancing measures and correct hygiene procedures.
However, a hotel is more than just a clean place to rest your head. It is a place for relaxation, recuperation and enjoyment. So, despite the extraordinary circumstances, guest experience will continue to be an important part of any stay.
As the summer season gets underway, I believe there is an opportunity to look at how hotels can reopen safely but also in a way which enriches the guest experience.
