We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Analyst Apprentice to join our team and develop their career. Providing remote first and second line IT support (primarily desktop support) for 350 users in 9 UK offices and working remotely, and helping with various business change initiatives.
This opportunity is to work as one of a 6 strong team supporting around 350 users. We deliver a full range of services from providing helpdesk support and rolling out client-side devices to building server racks and implementing new systems.
The team is based in Clifton, Bristol and occasionally visit other offices in the UK. However, currently we are all working from home during the Covid Pandemic.
Duties will include items like:
- Logging and responding to help desk calls, taking ownership of problems and communicating with staff
- Escalating calls to other IT team members when necessary
- Maintenance and deployment of new workstations and equipment
- Writing guides or documentation when required
The successful candidate for this role will have great customer service skills, a good ability in computing and a thirst to develop a diverse set of technical and project skills.

Our IT setup
Architecture is particularly demanding in terms of data storage and processing. Each office has its own High Availability servers and storage and they are interconnected via our uncontended fast Wide Area Network. Each user has a high powered workstation or one of our mobile solutions and we have recently invested in a new centralised remote working system.
2020 projects include continuing to improve our cyber security position, and renewing various office server systems in London and Birmingham as well as general server and storage upgrades.

5 GCSEs grade C/4 and above (or equivalent qualifications) including maths and English.
This is likely to be discussed towards the end of the apprenticeship dependent on the needs of the organisation and your own career plans.
Things to consider
Sometimes we do work that requires us to visit other offices in the UK – these visits are optional and team members can choose if they take part.
There is no uniform, and so one is not provided. Dress code is smart-casual. Working environment is currently a separate IT building or from home via a personal computer.
Holiday is 20 days a year rising to 25 after a full year.
