What advice would you give your 20-year-old self?

I always tell myself that life is very challenging at times and throws all sorts of obstacles in your way. I would always advise to keep everything in perspective. Being passionate and driven towards your goals will always guide you to succeed in life.

Best building in your city?

The Theatre Royal Plymouth has become a very powerful and meaningful building to me. I have spent many hours visiting TRP due to my son having the chance to be involved in some of the fabulous productions. It’s a building which allows all age groups to be a part of something special.

Biggest career influence?

My parents have to be at the top of the list due to the immense support they provided whilst I was carving out my career path. I have also been very fortunate to have worked with some very inspiring individuals throughout my career.

Where do you see your career taking you?

Stride Treglown has presented me with great opportunities to grow as an individual but also as a team and sector lead. I feel that I have so much more to give both to the practice but also to individuals who are starting out on their career paths. The Residential team is growing in strength and I am looking forward to being a part of this transition over the coming years. Watch this space.

What is your proudest moment?

Devonport Landing Craft co-location Project (DLCCP) at Devonport Naval Base was an absolute pleasure to work on. The complexity of the scheme and the extent of new amphibious facilities formed was commendable. It was very rewarding to be a part of such an already important legacy. I was honoured to be invited as a VIP guest to the opening ceremony which was attended and opened by Prince Harry. A day to remember! I obviously cannot forget about the amazing day I became a father.
