Plans submitted to transform hospital chapel into community space

26th April 2018

The proposal is to transform the chapel of the landmark Grade II listed Cardiff Royal Infirmary into a library, café, meeting space and information centre.

As it is no longer required to provide a religious function, bringing the building back to life for the community to use is considered to be the most advantageous.

If approved, work would also be done to improve accessibility and ensure ongoing maintenance.

The project will be led from our Cardiff office by Adam Parry.

Plans were submitted by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in partnership with Cardiff Council, and we are working with Gleeds, RVW Consulting and DRAC Consulting.
