Together, we’re supporting LandAid and wishing you a Merry Christmas!

11th December 2018

‘Tis the season to be jolly! It’s a time to celebrate, and a time to look ahead. More importantly, it’s a time to appreciate togetherness. At Stride Treglown, we are doing just that.

For us, 2018 has been a year for Shaping Future Places. We believe future places should be shaped collaboratively; by broad and inclusive joined-up thinking on the technological, economic and social issues they face. Future places should be shaped by joined-up doing from their own communities with support and expertise in place to help them succeed.

That’s why this Christmas we are proudly partnering with LandAid, joining them in their mission to #EndYouthHomelessness.

LandAid bring together businesses and individuals from across the property industry to support charities delivering life-changing projects for young people who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness.

As a charitable trust, they award grants to exceptional charities in the UK to invest in capital projects which provide much-needed homes for young people. They also provide free professional property expertise to their charity partners through a successful pro bono programme.

So this year, we’ve signed up to the Christmas Card Alternative campaign. Instead of sending out Christmas cards, we donated £1,000 which will go towards giving young people who are homeless a safer Christmas and a bright future. In true Christmas spirit, staff across each of our nine studios have also volunteered to host their own festive #StrideTREATglown day. Mince pies will be baked, gingerbread iced and cider mulled in an effort to raise extra funds for the charity.

We know youth homelessness is an ongoing issue, so we’re in it for the longer term. Last month Rachel Bell joined the South West Regional Board at LandAid offering her industry know-how and we’re already discussing potential pro bono projects with the charity! A very exciting year ahead…
