Announcing our new board directors and the next chapter in Employee Ownership

Two transformative changes are shaping Stride Treglown’s future, with Laura Cassullo and Danny Harris joining our board of directors, alongside our company transition to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) model.

Welcoming Laura and Danny to the Board

Since joining us in 2023, Laura’s design flair, coupled with her infectious energy and enthusiasm, has been the driving force behind our London studio’s growth. She brings to the board a superb combination of commercial experience and emotional intelligence. Laura will continue to lead our London studio, and the coordination of our joint service strengths in architecture and retrofit for clients in the capital.

This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to Stride Treglown’s evolution. Together, we’ll continue to develop our profile and strategy, anchored in the positive impact principles we embody as a practice. – Laura Cassullo, Director

Danny joined Stride Treglown as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant back in 2014. It’s testament to his hard work and thoughtful, collaborative approach to both design and mentorship that just over a decade later he becomes one of our youngest ever board directors.

Danny’s strengths in strategy and innovation will bring real dynamism to the board. He will take a leading role with the senior leadership team to strengthen our market offers, and will be taking charge of RICI, our innovation incubator, to nurture new ideas coming through the practice. Danny will also continue to have oversight of the Education and Technology & Innovation teams.

I am joining the board at an exciting time in the practices history, where we will evolve stakeholder engagement in key business decisions through the Employee Ownership Trust model, and Im proud to be part of this journey. – Danny Harris, Director

Evolving our Employee Ownership Model

Laura and Danny’s appointments coincide with our transition to an Employee Ownership Trust model—the next step in our journey that began in 2015 when we were one of the first architectural practices to become employee owned.

The move to a full EOT strengthens our governance framework and gives our employees a stronger voice in how we run the practice, while having a greater share in the rewards of our collective success.

This transition is about building a fairer and more sustainable practice. The EOT model embodies the collaborative culture that’s always been at the heart of our practice. It gives us a robust foundation for our future and, alongside our B Corp status, reinforces our commitment to positive investment and shared ownership. – Pierre Wassenaar, Chair
