We are proud to be working with The University of Greenwich to restore and revitalise Devonport House on its historic Greenwich Campus.
The University of Greenwich plans to transform Grade II Listed Devonport House into cutting-edge teaching and learning facilities, create new spaces for the wider community, and establish a home for the Greenwich Business School.
Leading the architectural vision for the project, we are responsible for designing a new facility that integrates seamlessly with the existing building, respects the heritage of the wider campus, and meets contemporary standards for energy efficiency and environmental impact.
Our team is collaborating closely with Purcell, renowned conservation specialists, to ensure the sensitive restoration of Devonport House.
“We are honoured to be leading the architectural vision for the Devonport House Project. Our team is dedicated to revitalising this historic building by introducing modern, sustainable design principles. Our focus is on creating spaces that respect the character of the World Heritage Site, whilst also providing state-of-the-art amenities that will deliver long-term positive impact for future generations.” – Matt Tarling, Director at Stride Treglown
The project will also enhance the area around the campus to improve access to the World Heritage site, create indoor and outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy, and deliver substantial economic and social benefits to the Greenwich community.
The University of Greenwich will be launching a public engagement programme for the project on 2 September 2024, with two public consultation events being held on Saturday 14 September and Wednesday 18 September.
Senior Associate Architect, Rachel Bremner is leading the project’s design from our London studio. Visit www.devonporthouseproject.co.uk to learn more about the Devonport House Project.
